D’après ‘Abdallah Ibn ‘Omar (qu’Allah les agrée lui et son père), le Prophète (que la prière d’Allah et
Son salut soient sur lui) a dit : Celui qui laisse traîner son vêtement par orgueil Allah ne le regardera pas
le jour du jugement. Abou Bakr (qu’Allah l’agrée) a dit : Ô Messager d’Allah ! Il y a un des deux côtés de
mon izar n1C’est le nom du vêtement que les Arabes portaient sur le bas du corps. qui
tombe à moins que je ne le retienne sans arrêt. Alors le Prophète (que la prière d’Allah et Son salut soient sur
lui) a dit : Tu n'es pas parmi ceux qui font cela par orgueil.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ
بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ جَرَّ
ثَوْبَهُ خُيَلاَءَ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ". قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ
اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَ شِقَّىْ إِزَارِي يَسْتَرْخِي، إِلاَّ أَنْ أَتَعَاهَدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى
الله عليه وسلم " لَسْتَ مِمَّنْ يَصْنَعُهُ خُيَلاَءَ ".
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet (ﷺ) said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at
the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! One
side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'You are not one of those who do
that out of conceit."
D’après ‘Urwa ibn al-Mughîra, son père dit : « Etant avec le Prophète (ﷺ) au cours d’un déplacement, il
me dit : As-tu de l’eau avec toi ?Oui, répondis-je. Sur ce, il descendit de sa monture et s’éloigna
jusqu’à disparaître dans l’obscurité de la nuit. À son retour, je lui versai l’eau du vase et il se lava le visage
et les mains ; mais comme il était vêtu d’une tunique de laine dont il ne put dégager les bras, il les passa
par-dessus cette tunique, se lava les bras et s’essuya la tête. Je tendis ensuite la main pour lui enlever ses
bottines, mais il me dit : Laisse-les, car j’y ai mis les pieds alors qu’ils étaient purs. Alors, il passa
la main sur les bottines »
Narrated Al-Mughira: One night I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey. He asked (me), "Have you got
water with you?" I replied, "Yes" So he got down from his she-camel and went away till he disappeared in the
darkness of the night. Then he came back and I poured water for him from the pot (for the ablution). He washed his
face and hands while he was wearing a woollen cloak (the sleeves of which were narrow), so he could not take his
arms out of it. So he took them out from underneath the cloak. Then he washed his forearms and passed his wet
hands over his head. Then I tried to take off his Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather), but he said,
"Leave them, for I have performed ablution before putting them on." And so he passed his wet hands over them.
D'après Ibn `Abbas : le Prophète (ﷺ) a maudit les hommes efféminés (ceux qui sont dans la similitude,
assument les manières des femmes) et les femmes masculines (qui adoptent les manières des hommes) et il a dit :
Faites les sortir de vos maisons. Alors, le Prophète (ﷺ) a sorti untel et Omar a sorti untel !
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ
عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمُخَنَّثِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ، وَالْمُتَرَجِّلاَتِ مِنَ
النِّسَاءِ وَقَالَ " أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ ". قَالَ فَأَخْرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
فُلاَنًا، وَأَخْرَجَ عُمَرُ فُلاَنًا.
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume
the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, "Turn them out of your houses ."
The Prophet (ﷺ) turned out such-and-such man, and `Umar turned out such-and-such woman.
