Sourate 68 : La plume (Al-qalam, القلم)

Noun n2Voir ibn Kathir. Par la plume et ce qu'ils écrivent !🔈

نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ🔈

Nūn Wa Al-Qalami Wa Mā Yasţurūna🔈

Nũn. By the pen and what everyone writes!🔈

Tu n3Mohammed n'est pas, par la grâce de ton Seigneur, un possédé.🔈

مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۢ🔈

Mā 'Anta Bini`mati Rabbika Bimajnūnin🔈

By the grace of your Lord, you ˹O Prophet˺ are not insane.🔈

Et il y aura pour toi certes, une récompense jamais interrompue.🔈

وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۢ🔈

Wa 'Inna Laka La'ajrāan Ghayra Mamnūnin🔈

You will certainly have a never-ending reward.🔈

Et tu es certes, d'une moralité imminente.🔈

وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ🔈

Wa 'Innaka La`alá Khuluqin `Ažīmin🔈

And you are truly ˹a man˺ of outstanding character.🔈

Tu verras et ils verront.🔈

فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ🔈

Fasatubşiru Wa Yubşirūna🔈

Soon you and the pagans will see,🔈

qui d'entre vous a perdu la raison.🔈

بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلْمَفْتُونُ🔈

Bi'ayyyikumu Al-Maftūnu🔈

which of you is mad.🔈

C'est ton Seigneur qui connaît mieux ceux qui s'égarent de Son chemin, et il connaît mieux ceux qui suivent la bonne voie.🔈

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ🔈

'Inna Rabbaka Huwa 'A`lamu Biman Đalla `An Sabīlihi Wa Huwa 'A`lamu Bil-Muhtadīna🔈

Surely your Lord ˹alone˺ knows best who has strayed from His Way and who is ˹rightly˺ guided.🔈

N'obéis pas à ceux qui crient en mensonge,🔈

فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ🔈

Falā Tuţi`i Al-Mukadhibīna🔈

So do not give in to the deniers.🔈

Ils aimeraient bien que tu transiges avec eux afin qu'ils transigent avec toi.🔈

وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ🔈

Wa Ddū Law Tud/hinu Fayud/hinūna🔈

They wish you would compromise, so they would yield ˹to you˺.🔈

Et n'obéis à aucun grand jureur, méprisable,🔈

وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍۢ مَّهِينٍ🔈

Wa Lā Tuţi` Kulla Ĥallāfin Mahīnin🔈

And do not obey the despicable, vain oath-taker,🔈

grand diffamateur, grand colporteur de médisance,🔈

هَمَّازٍۢ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍۢ🔈

Hammāzin Mashā'in Binamīmin🔈

slanderer, gossip-monger,🔈

grand empêcheur du bien, transgresseur, grand pécheur,🔈

مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ🔈

Mannā`in Lilkhayri Mu`tadin 'Athīmin🔈

withholder of good, transgressor, evildoer,🔈

au cœur dur, et en plus de cela bâtard.🔈

عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ🔈

`Utullin Ba`da Dhālika Zanīmin🔈

brute, and—on top of all that—an illegitimate child.🔈

Même s'il est doté de richesses et (de nombreux) enfants.🔈

أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ🔈

'An Kāna Dhā Mālin Wa Banīna🔈

Now, ˹simply˺ because he has been blessed with ˹abundant˺ wealth and children,🔈

Quand Nos versets lui sont récités, il dit : Des contes d'anciens.🔈

إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ🔈

'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhi 'Āyātunā Qāla 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna🔈

whenever Our revelations are recited to him, he says, “Ancient fables!”🔈

Nous le marquerons sur le museau [nez].🔈

سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ🔈

Sanasimuhu `Alá Al-Khurţūmi🔈

We will soon mark his snout.🔈

Nous les avons éprouvés comme Nous avons éprouvé les propriétaires du verger qui avaient juré d'en faire la récolte au matin,🔈

إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ🔈

'Innā Balawnāhum Kamā Balawnā 'Aşĥāba Al-Jannati 'Idh 'Aqsamū Layaşrimunnahā Muşbiĥīna🔈

Indeed, We have tested those ˹Meccans˺ as We tested the owners of the garden—when they swore they would surely harvest ˹all˺ its fruit in the early morning,🔈

sans dire : Si Dieu le veut.🔈

وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ🔈

Wa Lā Yastathnūna🔈

leaving no thought for Allah’s Will.🔈

Une calamité de la part de ton Seigneur tomba dessus pendant qu'ils dormaient,🔈

فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ🔈

Faţāfa `Alayhā Ţā'ifun Min Rabbika Wa Hum Nā'imūna🔈

Then it was struck by a torment from your Lord while they slept,🔈

et le matin, ce fut comme si tout avait été rasé.🔈

فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَٱلصَّرِيمِ🔈

Fa'aşbaĥat Kālşşarīmi🔈

so it was reduced to ashes.🔈

Le [lendemain] matin, ils s'appelèrent les uns les autres :🔈

فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ🔈

Fatanādaw Muşbiĥīna🔈

Then by daybreak they called out to each other,🔈

Partez tòt à votre champ si vous voulez le récolter.🔈

أَنِ ٱغْدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰرِمِينَ🔈

'Ani Aghdū `Alá Ĥarthikum 'In Kuntum Şārimīna🔈

˹saying,˺ “Go early to your harvest, if you want to pick ˹all˺ the fruit.”🔈

Ils allèrent donc, tout en parlent entre eux à voix basse :🔈

فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ🔈

Fānţalaqū Wa Hum Yatakhāfatūna🔈

So they went off, whispering to one another,🔈

Ne laissez aucun pauvre y entrer aujourd'hui.🔈

أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌۭ🔈

'An Lā Yadkhulannahā Al-Yawma `Alaykum Miskīnun🔈

Do not let any poor person enter your garden today.🔈

Ils partirent de bonne heure décidés à user d'avarice [envers les pauvres], convaincus que cela était en leur pouvoir.🔈

وَغَدَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍۢ قَٰدِرِينَ🔈

Waghadaw `Alá Ĥardin Qādirīna🔈

And they proceeded early, totally fixated on their purpose.🔈

Puis, quand ils le virent [le jardin], ils dirent : vraiment, nous avons perdu notre chemin,🔈

فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ🔈

Falammā Ra'awhā Qālū 'Innā Lađāllūna🔈

But when they saw it ˹devastated˺, they cried, “We must have lost ˹our˺ way!🔈

Ou plutôt, nous sommes frustrés.🔈

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ🔈

Qāla 'Awsaţuhum 'Alam 'Aqul Lakum Lawlā Tusabbiĥūna🔈

In fact, we have been deprived ˹of our livelihood˺.”🔈

Le plus juste d'entre eux dit : Ne vous avais-je pas dit : Si seulement vous avez rendu gloire à Dieu !🔈

قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ🔈

Qāla 'Awsaţuhum 'Alam 'Aqul Lakum Lawlā Tusabbiĥūna🔈

The most sensible of them said, “Did I not urge you to say, ‘Allah willing.’?”🔈

Ils dirent : Gloire à notre Seigneur ! Oui, nous avons été injustes.🔈

قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ🔈

Qālū Subĥāna Rabbinā 'Innā Kunnā Žālimīna🔈

They replied, Glory be to our Lord! We have truly been wrongdoers.🔈

Puis, ils s'adressèrent les uns aux autres, se faisant des reproches.🔈

فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ🔈

Fa'aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatalāwamūna🔈

Then they turned on each other, throwing blame.🔈

Ils dirent : Malheur à nous ! Nous avons été des rebelles.🔈

قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَٰغِينَ🔈

Qālū Yā Waylanā 'Innā Kunnā Ţāghīna🔈

They said, Woe to us! We have certainly been transgressors.🔈

Nous souhaitons que notre Seigneur nous le remplace par quelque chose de meilleur. Nous désirons nous rapprocher de notre Seigneur.🔈

عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ🔈

`Asá Rabbunā 'An Yubdilanā Khayrāan Minhā 'Innā 'Ilá Rabbinā Rāghibūna🔈

We trust our Lord will give us a better garden than this, ˹for˺ we are indeed turning to our Lord with hope.🔈

Tel fut le châtiment ; et le châtiment de l'au-delà est plus grand encore, si seulement ils savaient !🔈

كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ🔈

Kadhālika Al-`Adhābu Wa La`adhābu Al-'Ākhirati 'Akbaru Law Kānū Ya`lamūna🔈

That is the ˹way of Our˺ punishment ˹in this world˺. But the punishment of the Hereafter is certainly far worse, if only they knew.🔈

Les pieux auront auprès de leur Seigneur les jardins de délice.🔈

إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ🔈

'Inna Lilmuttaqīna `Inda Rabbihim Jannāti An-Na`īmi🔈

Indeed, the righteous will have the Gardens of Bliss with their Lord.🔈

Traiterons-Nous les soumis [à Dieu] à la manière des criminels ?🔈

أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ🔈

'Afanaj`alu Al-Muslimīna Kālmujrimīna🔈

Should We then treat those who have submitted like the wicked?🔈

Qu'avez-vous ? Comment jugez-vous ?🔈

مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ🔈

Mā Lakum Kayfa Taĥkumūna🔈

What is the matter with you? How do you judge?🔈

Ou bien, avez-vous un Livre dans lequel vous apprenez🔈

أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَٰبٌۭ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ🔈

'Am Lakum Kitābun Fīhi Tadrusūna🔈

Or do you have a scripture, in which you read🔈

qu'en vérité, vous obtiendrez tout ce que vous désirez ?🔈

إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ🔈

'Inna Lakum Fīhi Lamā Takhayyarūna🔈

that you will have whatever you choose?🔈

Ou bien est-ce que vous avez obtenu de Nous des serments valables jusqu'au Jour de la Résurrection, Nous engageant à vous donner ce que vous décidez ?🔈

أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ🔈

'Am Lakum 'Aymānun `Alaynā Bālighatun 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati 'Inna Lakum Lamā Taĥkumūna🔈

Or do you have oaths binding on Us until the Day of Judgment that you will have whatever you decide?🔈

Demande-leur qui d'entre eux en est garant ?🔈

سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ🔈

Salhum 'Ayyuhum Bidhālika Za`īmun🔈

Ask them ˹O Prophet˺ which of them can guarantee all that.🔈

Ou encore, est-ce qu'ils ont des associés ? Eh bien, qu'ils fassent venir leurs associés s'ils sont véridiques !🔈

أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ🔈

'Am Lahum Shurakā'u Falya'tū Bishurakā'ihim 'In Kānū Şādiqīna🔈

Or do they have associate-gods ˹supporting this claim˺? Then let them bring forth their associate-gods, if what they say is true.🔈

Le jour où ils affronteront les horreurs [du Jugement] et où ils seront appelés à la Prosternation, mais ils ne le pourront pas.🔈

يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍۢ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ🔈

Yawma Yukshafu `An Sāqin Wa Yud`awna 'Ilá As-Sujūdi Falā Yastaţī`ūna🔈

˹Beware of˺ the Day the Shin ˹of Allah˺ will be bared,1 and the wicked will be asked to prostrate, but they will not be able to do so,🔈

Leurs regards seront abaissés, et l'avilissement les couvrira. Or, ils étaient appelés à la Prosternation au temps où ils étaient sains et saufs !...🔈

خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ🔈

Khāshi`atan 'Abşāruhum Tarhaquhum Dhillatun Wa Qad Kānū Yud`awna 'Ilá As-Sujūdi Wa Hum Sālimūna🔈

with eyes downcast, totally covered with disgrace. For they were ˹always˺ called to prostrate ˹in the world˺ when they were fully capable ˹but they chose not to˺.🔈

Laisse-Moi donc avec quiconque traite de mensonge ce discours ; Nous allons les mener graduellement par où ils ne savent pas !🔈

فَذَرْنِى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ🔈

Fadharnī Wa Man Yukadhibu Bihadhā Al-Ĥadīthi Sanastadrijuhum Min Ĥaythu Lā Ya`lamūna🔈

So leave to Me ˹O Prophet˺ those who reject this message. We will gradually draw them to destruction in ways they cannot comprehend.🔈

Et Je leur accorde un délai, car Mon stratagème est sûr !🔈

وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ🔈

Wa 'Umlī Lahum 'Inna Kaydī Matīnun🔈

I ˹only˺ delay their end for a while, but My planning is flawless.🔈

Ou bien est-ce que tu leur demandes un salaire, les accablant ainsi d'une lourde dette ?🔈

أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًۭا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍۢ مُّثْقَلُونَ🔈

'Am Tas'aluhum 'Ajrāan Fahum Min Maghramin Muthqalūna🔈

Or are you asking them for a reward ˹for the message˺ so that they are overburdened by debt?🔈

Ou savent-ils l'Inconnaissable et c'est de là qu'ils écrivent [leurs mensonges] ?🔈

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ🔈

'Am `Indahumu Al-Ghaybu Fahum Yaktubūna🔈

Or do they have access to ˹the Record in˺ the unseen, so they copy it ˹for all to see˺?🔈

Endure avec patience la sentence de ton Seigneur, et ne soit pas comme l'homme au Poisson (Jonas) qui appela (Dieu) dans sa grande angoisse.🔈

فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌۭ🔈

Fāşbir Liĥukmi Rabbika Wa Lā Takun Kaşāĥibi Al-Ĥūti 'Idh Nādá Wa Huwa Makžūmun🔈

So be patient with your Lord’s decree, and do not be like ˹Jonah,˺ the Man of the Whale, who cried out ˹to Allah˺, in total distress.🔈

Si un bienfait de son Seigneur ne l'avait pas atteint, il aurait été rejeté honni sur une terre déserte,🔈

لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌۭ🔈

Lawlā 'An Tadārakahu Ni`matun Min Rabbihi Lanubidha Bil-`Arā'i Wa Huwa Madhmūmun🔈

Had he not been shown grace by his Lord, he would have certainly been cast onto the open ˹shore˺, still blameworthy.🔈

Puis son Seigneur l'élut et le désigna au nombre des gens de bien.🔈

فَٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ🔈

Fājtabāhu Rabbuhu Faja`alahu Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna🔈

Then his Lord chose him, making him one of the righteous.🔈

Peu s'en faut que ceux qui mécroient ne te transpercent par leurs regards, quand ils entendent le Coran, ils disent : Il est certes fou !🔈

وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ🔈

Wa 'In Yakādu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Layuzliqūnaka Bi'abşārihim Lammā Sami`ū Adh-Dhikra Wa Yaqūlūna 'Innahu Lamajnūnun🔈

The disbelievers would almost cut you down with their eyes when they hear ˹you recite˺ the Reminder,1 and say, “He is certainly a madman.”🔈

Et ce n'est qu'un Rappel, adressé aux mondes !🔈

وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ🔈

Wa Mā Huwa 'Illā Dhikrun Lil`ālamīna🔈

But it is simply a reminder to the whole world.🔈
